Agreeing to these terms
By creating or using an Arcane Suite account you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy.
If you use Arcane Suite for an organization, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and “you” also means the organization.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to create an account (or older, if your country requires it to agree on your own) and give accurate information when you sign up. A personal account is for one person.
You're responsible for keeping your password safe, for what happens in your account and for the mail sent from it. We recommend turning on two-step verification. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
Addresses on arcanemail.io belong to Arcane Suite and are assigned to you while your account is in good standing. They can't be sold or transferred.
Businesses and administrators
A business account connects one or more domains to Arcane Suite. Only connect domains you own or are authorized to manage. Removing a domain stops mail delivery for its addresses.
The organization controls the accounts on its domains. Its administrators can create, suspend and delete accounts, reset passwords, access and export people's data, and delete the organization, as our Privacy Policy describes. The organization is responsible for how its administrators use these powers, for its people following these terms, and for telling them what administrators can see.
Every organization keeps at least one super admin, who manages billing and can delete the organization.
Your content
What you create and store in Arcane Suite is yours. You give us permission to store, process, send and show it only as needed to run the service for you and for the people you share it with, including through the services listed in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when the content is deleted.
You're responsible for having the right to the content you store and share, and for the sharing settings you choose.
Vault
Vault is end-to-end encrypted, so we can't see or reset your Vault password. You're responsible for your Vault password and your recovery key. Keep the recovery key somewhere safe: for personal accounts, if you lose both, your Vault can't be recovered by anyone, including us.
For business accounts, administrators can turn on account recovery to help members get back in. The extension fills in a login only when you ask it to; check that you're on the right website before you do.
AI features
AI features can make mistakes. Review what they write or summarize before you rely on it or send it. When you use them, the content they work on is processed as our Privacy Policy describes.
Payment
Arcane Suite is pay as you go: there are no plans or seats. Every account needs a payment card on file; without one, mail still arrives, but sending email, uploading and creating files wait until a card is added. People in an organization are billed through it; everyone else is billed through their own account.
Each month, we charge the card through Stripe for what was used, in US dollars:
- file storage (files, attachments and recordings): $0.10 per GB per month;
- data storage (the text kept in the apps, such as messages, chats, notes and documents): $0.90 per GB per month;
- emails sent: $1.80 per 1,000 (receiving email is free);
- Meet calls: $0.08 per participant-hour, and live streams: $2 per 1,000 minutes;
- Arcane AI: twice what each request costs us;
- for businesses, $1 per month for each verified domain.
If a month's usage (everything except domains) comes to less than $1, we charge $1. Current prices are always on our pricing page.
If a payment fails, sending email and uploading files may stop until the payment method is updated. When you close an account or organization, the usage up to then is charged. We'll tell you by email before prices go up.
Limits
To protect deliverability for everyone, sending is limited, currently to 300 messages a day and 50 recipients per message. Attachments can be up to 25 MB per message. Other limits may apply to keep the service stable for everyone.
Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no spam or bulk mail, no phishing or malware, no abuse of other people or of the service, and nothing illegal.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend features or close accounts that break these terms, aren't paid for, generate high bounce or complaint rates, or put the service or other people at risk. Where possible, we'll tell you why.
You can stop using Arcane Suite and delete your account or organization at any time. Export anything you want to keep first.
Availability and changes to the service
We work hard to keep Arcane Suite running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance. We improve the apps all the time, which means features may change or be removed.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Arcane Suite isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll update this page and its date, and tell you about significant changes by email before they take effect.
